This Scripture in St. Matthew 7 has already been fulfilled.
St, Matthew Chapter 7
21 ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
This Scripture in St. John has not been fulfilled, yet. But it’s coming around.
ST. John Chapter 15
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
Apparently there is disagreement over St. Matthew 24, whether it pertains to 70 AD or end of the world AD. Since the Nazi holocaust was a lot worse than the 70 AD temple destruction, i believe this is yet to come. And according to Jesus, it is unavoidable.
St. Matthew Chapter 24
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then shall many be offended,
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Will we have any signs or warnings that it is about to happen? No.
St. Luke Chapter 21
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Is there any way to escape it, for Christians? I don’t think so, unless they just so happen to die before the tribulation takes place. Otherwise, Jesus tells us that they will be killing people for His Name sake. That means that Christians are the very ones who are going to be persecuted. They didn’t get raptured, they got afflicted and killed instead. But what about St. Luke 21?
St. LUke Chapter 21
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Apparently, we need to try to be accounted worthy to escape all these things. I’m not sure how, but possibly some people might escape these things? Jesus doesn’t say. He just tells us to “pray”. Now mind you if it is God’s will that something will happen, then it will never be changed. But we don’t want to rush to interpretation, because although the Bible is God’s word, it has been translated many times and meanings are changed and lost, there is ambiguation between 70AD and today, and i believe men have also changed God’s Bible intentionally.
3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. 5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
However, we don’t require the strictest interpretations or exact wordings. As Christians we take a stand for God the same way Jesus did – to the death, unwaveringly carrying out God’s will, whatever it is, no matter what. As Christians we are always ready to meet Jesus, because we know the snare could fall at any second. While some people might be expecting hailstorms or alignments in the stars a few years down the road, BAM! The End is already here, before the foolish virgins were prepared.
