I Love THe Smell Of Fear In The Morning

The other day i mentioned that i didn’t understand about how “forgiveness” works in the Bible. Do we need to be forgiven of our sins, or what? Well now i understand a few things better. We have a couple of examples to look at.

In the first example, we have a young couple who have three children, Sally, Billy and Johnny. The parents go to town, i mean the real town, they go to the city and leave the children home alone for awhile. When they arrive back home, they find the house a mess and Sally in tears, crying, and she says that Billy and Johnny were being mean bullies and they were hurting the cats and they were hurting Sally, and she was just playing with her dolls. The parents are not pleased, and they tell Sally that she wasn’t doing anything wrong, so she is not in trouble. But the parents tell Billy and Johnny that if they don’t behave, they are going to get punished, because that is wrong behaviour, being bullies and hurting other children and the animals. Billy starts crying and says “I’m sorry! I know it was wrong to hurt others! I won’t do it anymore, i promise!” Johnny, however, he says “F^*(* you, F*%) those other kids, F%^%& those animals, i will do anything i want, and i don’t have to do anything you say.”

Well now, Billy repented and stopped being a bully and so he doesn’t need to be punished in order to make him stop being mean to others. He learned his lesson. A word to the wise is sufficient. Billy stopped being mean, and so the parents don’t need to take any further action with Billy. But since Johnny refuses to stop being mean to others, then he will be punished. Because that is the only way to make him learn his lesson. It’s the only way that he will stop hurting others.

That’s a very simplified example, and in God’s world, it is a little bit different. In another example, the parents come home and find Sally and Billy dead, slaughtered by Johnny, and Johnny sitting there gutting out the cat and eating the dog. Johnny tells his parents “I’m going to put a bullet in your ribs!” but his parents just smile and put a bullet in his head, and send him to hell. Because God cannot create anything evil. If God creates a person and that person turns out evil and goes about hurting God’s other children, God is going to destroy it. God cannot create evil, and God is certainly not going to let evil exist in His House hurting His children. Before God can let any people into Heaven, He first has to find out if they have any evil in them or not, such as Satan. If evil is found in them, they are cast into hell. I’m starting to think that is the reason we are all placed here on Earth- to find out who is evil.

Now i also understand what Jesus meant when He said He came to call the sinners to repentance, but not the righteous. The righteous people already love God and love their neighbors, so they don’t need to repent.

St. Matthew Chapter 9

10 ¶ And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples. 11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners? 12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. 13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

I was taught that everyone was a sinner, so why was Jesus only sent for some people, and others did not need repentance? Now we can see that the righteous people already loved God and their neighbors, and like Sally from the example, they needed no correction. Maybe some correction. But that is a big difference between people who love God, and those who don’t. The people who love God, when they understand that God does not want people killing and eating animals, they stop immediately. Not because they fear punishment, but because they love God. They will do whatever God asks them, eagerly. Ane when they understand it is mean and cruel and God did not create man or animals to be food for anyone, then they have compassion and stop. The evil people on the other hand, they say “Hey, animal flesh tastes good, therefore, i eat it.” By this same token, these same people, if human flesh tasted good to them, they would not hesitate to eat it, either. They don’t care what’s in their samwich. Because by their reasoning, if it tastes good, eat it. And if people don’t have compassion for animals, they don’t have compassion. Period. People who have compassion will be given compassion, but those who don’t have compassion are going to lose everything that they have.

St. Matthew Chapter 13

12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
