Genesis Chapter 1

14 ¶ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

For signs and seasons, such as the dawning of the Age of Aquarius and other such things.

I spoke before about how we don’t go about subjecting other folks and trying to make them less than others. God reminded me that we would not like it if others tried to subject us and make us inferior, and so we remember the Golden Rule. I read a quotation from Abraham Lincoln in which he said that he would not want to be a slave, and so neither would he want to be a master. That is his idea of democracy. LIkewise, i would not want to be subjected, so neither would i want to subject others. That’s my idea of equality.

I mentioned my daily prayers, but i don’t share every private detail. But some things i do pray for every day, such as i pray that everyone will be saved, and i pray that i will be accounted worthy. This is a commandment that Jesus gave us. I hope that people believe me, but i am such a terrible example, i pray that if people are expected to believe me, that God will have lenience and mercy on everyone. I would recommend that if people believe in God, but not sure if they believe me, they should pray to God for understanding, and ask God to show them the Truth about Jesus. So i also pray that i will do better, and try to do better every day, and ask God for help to do the best that i can.

St. Luke Chapter 21

33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 34 ¶ And take heed to yourselves lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

I was thinking about how people go about subjecting other people, especially women. I can understand why men want to be the boss of women and tell them what to do. That way men can have their own way, and women have to give in to the men. But that’s not right. That’s not the way it should be. Everyone should be treated as equals. I begin to understand what the phrase means that women have been “sexualized”. That means they have been reduced to their gender, their sex. That means that their only value is based on their gender! Women have been trained that their sexuality is their only asset, while being held in subjection to men. Some girls may sit at home and feel their net worth value is zero! because they don’t have movie star looks, or because they don’t have very many friends or people who find them “sexually attractive”. How terrible! But we know that God loves each and everyone of us the same, and so we don’t place our value in our physical bodies. Even so, everyone grows up through awkward stages and for everyone the story of the ugly duckling has a certain amount of truth and relativity. This is a good example of looking for happiness outside of ourselves. We will never find happiness outside ourselves. Our true worth comes from within, not externally. We can be our own worst enemies and we can also be our own best friends.

One thing that some cultures do is they make the women wear veils to cover their heads. This is a custom that promotes modest dress and modesty. Is it really necessary to make women cover their heads? Would men want to have to wear a sack on their heads? I don’t think so, either. I can understand being modest. We are told by God to be holy. Be ye holy, even as our Father is Holy.

I don’t know about other people, but sometimes i have met people who are stunningly beautiful. Years ago i went to a trade show in Las Vegas, and some of the most beautiful women i have ever seen came up and started talking to me. I was all unable to talk and awkward, it was very strange. And i told God before why did God make women so beautiful? Wouldn’t it almost be better if God made all the women real plain looking, then men wouldn’t be so stunned by their beauty? And i was wondering if just looking at women is a sin, because Jesus said if you look at a woman and lust in your heart then you have committed adultery. God said that it’s not a crime to look at something beautiful, such as a flower, or a pretty woman, or anything beautiful. The only crime comes in if we think bad thoughts, or unclean or unholy thoughts. We may have heard the saying that “cleanliness is next to Godliness”. This applies to physical cleanliness, as well as our thoughts and feelings. As Jesus said, if you have a light, you don’t put it in a closet or under a bushel, you put it where everyone can see it. God did not make beautiful people to be hid away, or anyone to be hid away, but all things that God made reflect the Glory of God.

Heavenly Mother reminded me when i asked Her who i more closely resemble – my Heavenly Mother or my Heavenly Father. She said that as a general rule, daughters resemble their mothers more, and sons resemble their fathers more. God said that man was created in the image of God. So when we look at a beautiful woman, for example, we can see the image of God! And not just “beautiful” people. We can see the image of God in every persons face, men and women. That’s what makes us love everyone the same and makes us realize that none are less than the others. But we don’t love people because of their image, we love people because of who they are the inside, not on the outside. They are our brothers and sisters, they are the children of God.

St. Matthew Chapter 5

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
