The Gospel Truth

I mentioned before that people need to keep their word to God. What word? What is it, that people promise to God? When people ask God to forgive their sins, they promise to stop sinning. That’s why it’s called “Repentance and remission of sins”. We promise to stop sinning and do our best every day, to keep all God’s commandments and carry out His will, here on Earth, whatever it is.And we do. We try harder every day to do our best. We promise God that we will do our best. We don’t promise God that we will be perfect, because that’s not even possible. And then it becomes a Way of Life. We get a little bit better, every day.

Galatians Chapter 6

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth,
that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption;
but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall
reap, if we faint not.

2 Timothy Chapter 3

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving,
and being deceived.

St. Matthew Chapter 24

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man
deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall
deceive many.

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there;
believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall
shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible,
they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
