Galatians Chapter 5

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the
affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

I was thinking about how i am different now that i became a Christian in 2013. I am different in a few ways, such as i don’t smoke cigarettes anymore, i am particular about eating healthy foods, and not ingesting poisons, i am not interested in marriage or relationships, and in a few ways, i am different now. As i was thinking about this, God made me understand that the difference in me now is that before, my body controlled me. I was always doing things that my body wanted me to do, dining, dancing and doing fun things that i enjoyed. But now i control my body instead of it controlling me. And so my theory has come true, that if we do not control our mind, (our body), our mind will control us. And that is exactly what the body does. If we don’t control our body, there is no control over our body! We just become slaves to our own body and go in search of the things the body wants – fun, food, fame, fortune. That becomes our whole life mission – taking care of the body, the physical self.

But as in Galatians Chapter 5, we are reminded that as Christians, we have crucified the flesh. That is to say, we have sacrificed the fleshly desires. We willingly give up all worldly desires and pleasures, because we no longer serve our body. We serve God, instead. I gladly give up all worldly pleasures for God. It’s what happens to you when you become a Christian. You care about God more than you care about your own self. We change because our knowledge and attitude changes. We become desirous of doing things to please God and avoid sin, and as a direct result, we put the flesh behind us. As Jesus said “Satan, get thee behind me”. And as the body no longer controls us, God is now first in our life, and the body has become secondary, or last.

For me, the change happened somewhat overnight, but also took months to develop. For me, my changes were made because i had direct insight to God’s Character, and so that made me want to change. Because as a human, i feel dirty and awkward in the presence of God. And when we become aware of the presence of the Divine, such as angels, and Holy Spirits, we are suddenly made aware of the uncleanness and unholy state of man. Whereas before, when we were addicted to the fleshly pleasures, having no knowledge of anything better, we worshiped the things of the flesh. However, after having been in the Divine Presence, it makes us realize that the things we worshiped before, the flesh, is not worthy of any worship. Nay, in fact we come to realize how filthy and dirty the flesh really is, and we come to realize that what we used to worship before is now seen for what it really is – filthy, dirty and stinky.

This dirty, nasty, stinky world of the flesh is the world that Satan rules. Satan is the ruler of filth, and sickness, disease and death. People who worship Satan worship sickness, disease and death. And surely, they will reap what they have sown. As Christians, we will receive the Kingdom of our Father, Heaven. And likewise, people who worship Satan will receive the kingdom of their father Satan, the Lake of Fire. Because Satan is the ruler of death and destruction. That’s all you can get from Satan. Suffering and death. People will never get anything good from Satan. The only thing people can get from Satan is deceived and eternal torment. And many folks will. Because many folks worship their physical body and not God. And when people worship their body, they receive the rewards of the body – death and destruction. When people worship God, they receive the Rewards of God, which is everlasting life in Heaven.

Galatians Chapter 5

STAND fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us
free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall
profit you nothing.
3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a
debtor to do the whole law.
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are
justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by
6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor
uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the
8 This persuasion
cometh not of him that calleth you.
9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none
otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment,
whosoever he be.
11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer
persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only
use not
liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word,
even in this; Thou shalt
love thy neighbour as thyself.
15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not
consumed one of another.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust
of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the
flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do
the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are
Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife,
seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the
which I tell you before, as I have also told
you in time past, that they
which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another,
envying one another
