1 Corinthians Chapter 3

16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of
God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for
the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

What are the things that defile our temple? What are the things that will cause us to be destroyed? Well, here’s a list of a few of the things that defile our temple and will get us destroyed:

Matthew Chapter 15

18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from
the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries,
fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen
hands defileth not a man.

The things in this list defile your temple – evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, adulteries, lying, blasphemies, etc etc.

So the question comes up – what is adultery and fornication? For those answers i refer to the Catholic church which teaches us that ANY sex that is not between lawfully wedded people is unlawful. That includes all sex. Whether people are having sex with other people or just with themselves, it’s still the same unlawful activity if it is outside lawful marriage. It is only lawful in marriage in the natural manner intended to have a baby, only, and for that purpose, only.

This is what Jesus said about marriage, adultery and fornication:

Matthew Chapter 5

27 ¶ Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt
not commit adultery:
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust
after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from
thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should
perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee:
for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish,
and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give
her a writing of divorcement:
32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife,
saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery:
and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
