Who Then Can BE Saved?

Matthew Chapter 19

25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed,
saying, Who then can be saved?
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is
impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Today i thought about what i am doing, and what i am trying to do is open up the GAtes of Heaven for everyone! I feel like what i have done is open the Gate very narrowly. Now i do teach a very narrow way of doctrine. That is – obey ALL God’s commandments, even all the unstated commandments that we can find in Scripture. And keep ALL God’s commandments. I want everyone to be perfect. I don’t want anyone getting turned away because i taught them wrong.

Now, is this the only way to Heaven? I don’t know. Is it so strict that we shouldn’t eat meat, and we should follow every single commandment that we can find? I believe it is, for me anyway. Is it the same for everyone else? I don’t know! But i am sure of how i should conduct myself, in the most holy manner i possibly can. Because i can never be worthy of what i have been given, and i feel it’s my duty to do my very best that i possibly can. And like i said, i don’t want anyone losing out on Heaven because i told them wrong information! So i keep a strict doctrine for myself and i teach that to others.

However, i don’t know what goes on between God and other people. I only know my own personal relationship with God and what i can learn by Scripture. I feel that i need to do the best that i can, and this is what God wants from me, personally. Does that mean that everyone else is exactly the same? I don’t know. But i will say this – i believe we should try to be as perfect as we can. However, we are only human, and we can never be perfect. So that is why we try our hardest, we do our best not to sin. But there is no way that we are just going to wake up one day and “be perfect”. We can’t. So we have to allow ourselves to be human.

And that is a question i ask sometimes – is it a sin to be human?

Now i think of it in this way: Let’s say for example, well, first of all, lets say that we prayed to God to save us, we prayed to Jesus to forgive us our sins. And so Jesus did. Then, because we became Christians and we follow Jesus teachings, we first learn the two greatest commandments. And they are to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and power, and second is to love our neighbor as ourself. And so we do this. Everyday we pray when we awaken and when we go to sleep to God and we ask God to forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who have sinned against us. And Jesus told us, if we forgive others, then God will forgive us. And so it is very important to forgive others. So if we are keeping the two main commandments, then we are doing pretty good. We are doing the main things we are supposed to be doing. Now, if we fail in another area, will we be condemned? Even if we keep the two main commandments, will we still be lost if we fail to keep another, different commandment?

Well, first of all, when we became saved, we made a promise to God to stop sinning. That is, we make a promise to God to do our best to stop sinning. Because we’re not just going to wake up in the morning, perfect. It could happen, by God, but for most of us it won’t. But our promise is to do our best. We don’t promise anything that we are not 1000% sure we can keep. Now let me explain about that a little.

Back in 2013 God, who is EArth Mother, the Holy Spirit came to see me and She stayed with me at my house for several weeks or months. During that time we went on walks and to the beach and stuff and She taught me many things. One day i was very happy spending so much time and being so close to God and i promised Her that i would go out to the beach and watch the sunset every single day, and think about God at sunset every single day. Well, the thing was, God would not accept it. God would not let me make that promise to Her. At that time, i thought that She was rejecting my gift offering to Her, but later i understood that She was doing me a big favor by not accepting my promise. Because it would have been very grievous, and i would have been bound to keep that promise the rest of my life, if God had accepted it. But thankfully, God wouldn’t accept it. AT that time, i didn’t know why. But later i found out in Scripture that God tells us to “never swear by anything”. Because our word is very important to God and we have to be careful what we say, and we have to be very careful what we swear, or promise to do. Because whatever we promise to do in God’s eyes, we have to keep it, for life! So i found out after that, the best thing is, don’t promise to do anything. Only promise God that you are going to do your best and try your hardest. And that is what i believe is our covenant with God -that we promise to do our best to stop sinning. And we try our hardest everyday, we ask forgiveness every day, and we try to be as perfect as we can.

Now i don’t believe that we should promise God that we WILL do this, or that we WON’T do that. Rather, i believe we should only promise God that we will do the best that we can. Otherwise we might promise something that we could never do, and then we would be doomed. So we don’t do that. God doesn’t expect us to be perfect, but God does expect us to keep our word. Now that we know that, we are very careful what we promise.

Now as i stated before, it is very important that we forgive our brothers, because then our Father will forgive us. So if we are doing our best and trying our hardest, will we then fail, if we fail to keep some other commandment? If we sin, will we automatically fail?

Well, i don’t know for sure, but i don’t think so. I thought about this and i will get back to my example from earlier. Say we are trying to do our best for God. Now think of yourself as a small child and you want to please your earthly parents. You want to do good, you want to do well and you want them to be proud of you. So you try hard. Let’s say you want to win the approval of your earth dad and so you take up karate lessons. And you study karate for a year, and then you try very hard to be good at karate. You practice everyday, you work really hard at it. Then one year later, you take a test. And you fail the test! You didn’t do good enough! You weren’t perfect in your class, you failed! Now, when you go home and tell your earthly father that you failed the karate class, do you think your earth father will say to you “You failed! Get out! You were not perfect, therefore i don’t want you around here, you failure!”

No, i don’t think your earth father would throw you out just because you were not perfect on your karate exam. No, i think he would more likely know how hard you tried and he saw all the hard work and practice you did, and i think he would still be proud of you, even if you did fail the karate exam. And because your earth father would know that we are not all perfect.

Likewise, i don’t think our Heavenly Father will throw us out if we are not exactly perfect. Certainly if we are keeping the two main commandments and keeping in close contact with God everyday, by praying at least twice a day and having a close relationship with God, then God is going to know how hard we are trying. Now, is this a license to sin, knowing that we can never be perfect? Does this mean that we know we will never be perfect, so we don’t need to try? No! Because remember, our covenant with God is to do our best! And if we love God with all our heart mind and soul, we don’t want to sin against God! So we always have to try our hardest. And God knows our hearts and minds and we can’t “pretend” like we are trying our hardest, because God will know if we are just “pretending”.

I pray for all people and i pray for their Safety. Because i think, how can anyone be saved? This whole world is wicked, and evil and polluted and full of every kind of evil. And the people have been greatly deceived, and they don’t even know it! How can people be saved? How can people change from a lifetime of habits and addictions, and suddenly wake up, perfect? Well, the answer is, they can’t be perfect! But i know God is here to save the people, and so that is what God is going to do – save His people. How? I’m not sure, but i believe that He will, and part of it is going to be because people were trying to do their best. Because if we have to be perfect, then none of us would be saved. And so i think the key is to follow the two greatest commandments, and try to keep all the commandments, the best that we can. Try to be perfect. And pray for forgiveness everyday.

So we need to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and power, and keep close to God everyday. Some people might imagine God as their imaginary friend. However, i believe that we should recognize God as our “invisible” Friend, not imaginary. Because God is very real.

I believe that we get from God as much as we put into our time with God. For example, lets say every day you turn off the tv and the music and you don’t listen to anything else and you only pray and think about God for five minutes. That’s what you will get.

So lets say you turn off the music and the tv and you don’t listen to anything else, and you only think about and pray to God for an hour. That’s what you will get. Also, if you pray mildy, that’s what you get. And if you pray fervently, and sometimes beg God, that is also what you will get.

So we can see that the more we put in, the more we get out. For example, if we turn off the music and tv and never listen to it and only listen and talk to God 24/7/365, that is also what we get. So the limitations of how close you want to be with God and how much you want to get out of your relationship with God depends on you and what you put into your relationship with God.

I realize many people have weaknesses and illnesses and i know if Jesus were here, Jesus could heal them all. I believe if the disciples were here, the disciples could heal many people. But we don’t have those folks here, so our best thing we have is prayer. Daily prayer, and faith. We must believe. And with daily practice, we will get better. It takes years and years to become a master of something. We must all start out in the beginning, as beginners and work our way up.

If not for the grace of God, i would not even be here today, and certainly God helped me to quit drinking alcohol. Could i have done it without God? No. i don’t think so. Maybe if i prayed daily and fervently, and sometimes i might have to even pray more fervently. And so how can people be saved if they have a great weakness such as drinking? Is it that person’s fault they are an alcoholic? Is it a sin to be human? Will we be condemned, for being human and being weak? I don’t know, but i don’t think so, as long as we are trying our hardest, and keeping our promise to God to keep trying harder.

So what can we do, if we find ourselves with a weak spot, a vulnerability, something we can’t seem to cure on our own, even through fervent and daily prayer? We pray harder! More fervently! More daily! We try harder! WE beg God more! We keep trying harder.

But also, we know we have weaknesses, so we can try to compensate somewhere else in our lives. Maybe we have difficulty with drinking, but we try our hardest to quit, or cut back, and we can also compensate in other areas of our life. God says that charity covers a multitude of sins. So maybe if we increase our charity. Maybe we know someone that needs some help, we could help them out. Maybe we can give to others, while praying for help for ourselves, and beg for mercy from God to forgive us and show us kindness. Maybe we can tell others about Jesus and how God has helped us in our lives, and share that with others, to save others too. Because even though we are not perfect, we really are trying our hardest and we really do want to do the best we can do. Maybe if our prayers aren’t being answered then we could go to church and ask others to also pray for us. You can only fail when you quit trying!

So i say we should do the best we can at all times, and throw ourselves at the mercy of the court, and beg forgiveness for our shortcomings. Because none of us are perfect, but we don’t have to be perfect to be saved. But we do have to do the best that we can. Will God throw us out for not being perfect? I don’t think so. But God might throw us out for not trying our hardest. Because that is our covenant with God. That’s our promise we made to God.

Keeping our word with God is very important, so we don’t make promises we can’t keep. Fortunately God usually won’t accept our promises if God already knows we can’t keep them. God is very fair. I believe that if we follow the two main commandments, that is, we love God with all our heart and soul and mind and power, and we love our brothers as ourselves, then if we keep trying harder, that God can work out all the other details too. We must have faith and we must believe.

I believe this because i believe that God came here to save us, and i believe that is what God is going to do. We must have faith and we must believe and we must try as hard as we can to do the best that we can. Because anything less would mean that we weren’t trying hard enough.

Repentance and remission of sins.

1 Peter Chapter 4

FORASMUCH then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm
yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in
the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the
lusts of men, but to the will of God.
3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the
will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess
of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same
excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and
the dead.
6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are
dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but
live according to God in the spirit.
7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and
watch unto prayer.
8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for
charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same
one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man
minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in
all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise
and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to
try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings;
that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with
exceeding joy.
14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the
spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil
spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an
evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.
16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but
let him glorify God on this behalf.
17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of
God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that
obey not the gospel of God?
18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly
and the sinner appear?
19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God
commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a
faithful Creator.
